With a visit by two country greats and a gospel concert planned, October will be a prime month to be at The Dixie Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon.

On Oct. 20, Little Jimmy Dickens and Janie Fricke will pair up to present a concert as part of The Dixie’s Live Concert Series.

Tickets for the concert, which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., are $30 a person.

Also scheduled this month is a local gospel gathering set for 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 a person.

Groups performing will include The Gospel Lights, God’s Property, The Webb Brothers and The Johnson Sisters.

October is officially county music month at the Whitley County Historical Museum and beyond.
And with country music, you have local country music star from South Whitley, Janie Fricke. The Whitley County Historical Museum will be hosting a Janie Fricke exhibit at the Government Center and Whitley County Historical Museum in Columbia City throughout the month of October.
There will be many Janie Fricke items from instruments to clothing on display at both locations. Be sure to come out and see all the wonderful items on display.
